We bring multiple parts of a renovation together so the finished space feels intentional—not pieced together.
Clean lines. Tight joints. Details that hold up under close inspection. Baseboards, casing, crown moulding, custom trim, stair finish work, doors, feature walls, and architectural details.
We do not begin with the first plank. We begin by determining where the final plank, doorway, wall, and stair detail will land. That determines how and where we start to ensure a natural flow.

Structural Rebuild and Exterior Carpentry
What initially appeared to be a straightforward deck board replacement project revealed extensive structural deterioration beneath the existing deck.
The existing deck had been designed around appearance rather than drainage and longevity. Water had been trapped throughout the structure, damaging most of the framing, posts, and ledger.
We replaced the failed structure instead of covering it, rebuilt the ledger connection, corrected framing conditions, and reconstructed the multi-level deck around proper support, drainage, and long-term performance.
What was expected to be a cosmetic repair became a structural rebuild. Rather than cover the problems, we rebuilt the deck so the next owner would never inherit them.
Interior Renovation
A coordinated interior remodel involving selective demolition, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, continuous flooring, and custom stair detailing.
New flooring needed to run continuously through two stories, replacing existing stair carpet and ruined first floor planking, without unnecessary transition strips, awkward slivers, or poorly resolved stair edges.
We planned the flooring layout around walls, doorways, stairs, and final board placement before beginning installation. Custom mitered stair-nose details were developed to wrap exposed edges and create a finished, intentional appearance.
Every part of the renovation depended on the last. Cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, flooring, and custom stair details were coordinated so the finished space felt intentional instead of assembled.
Specialty Stair Systems
Four stair systems requiring custom layout, routed red-oak rails, precisely aligned balusters, and field-developed installation methods.
Existing framing and rail conditions did not provide the alignment needed for the balusters to run cleanly through the rails, treads, and newel posts.
We developed a routing jig, established the baluster lines with a laser, drilled the tread locations in alignment, and fabricated angled red-oak spacers to secure the balusters within the rails.
By the fourth staircase, work that had taken nearly a month on the first could be completed in about a week. Every problem uncovered along the way became part of the method used on the next.
About Industrious Duo
Industrious Duo began while two friends were tearing down an old awning behind a house in the Texas Hill Country.
It was one of several projects we had taken on that week around Keith's house simply because we enjoyed working together. Somewhere in the middle of the demolition, Brad looked over and said, "You know, we're a rather industrious duo." Keith agreed—and the name stuck.
What started with careful demolition grew into flooring, finish carpentry, decks, interior renovations, doors, specialty stair systems, and the kinds of construction problems that do not fit neatly into one trade.
We plan the work, solve the problems in front of us, and care about the details after they stop being convenient. We would rather explain honestly that a project belongs with someone else than promise work we should not be doing.
The people planning the work are also the people performing it. Decisions are made with real installation conditions in mind.
Layout, alignment, reveals, transitions, drainage, fit, and finish are all considered before the first cut is made.
We are comfortable solving difficult problems, but we do not advertise experience we do not have or pretend every project belongs with us.
